We close on the house in one week. I can't think of anything else right now - too focused on making this actually happen, (which still amazes me). Got house insurance today as well - pulled the cars into the policy.... I'm saving about $40 A MONTH (thank you employee discount). *woooot*

Things are progressing nicely. By this time next week I will not have a lying land lord or annoying neighbors with loser children or a moldy crap-box of a home surrounded by 24/hour construction.

Only a few weeks left until we close on the new house and I am counting the minutes. The mold scent in this place is unbearable. It is pretty much all I can think about.... well other than art. I am currently working on a promotional poster for "Adelle". Should be fairly cool once I am done.

Aside from that, I am gearing up for my favorite time of year. Next week will be a combo of Bradbury mountain, apple & pumpkin picking and possibly a Salem trip Sunday. Should be a right ol' hoot! Still haven't started on a costume yet though. Time is of the essence.

Inspection went well on the home we're looking to purchase in Gorham. Tons of work to be done, obviously but nothing that is a deal killer. Areas in the foundation need some more mortar to be better sealed against moisture, some floor boards are punky, a window needs replacing, and the old dry wall and wallpaper need to go. The projects are many none are too pricey. We hae a few friends that are handy with tools so they'll guide me through the whole "don't-plan-on-having-a-weekend-free-for-five-years" thing.

All in all, Rachelle and I are very excited! I look forward to the peace & quiet, the leaves changing and the fire pit. I hate the house we're in now. Such a shitty, mold infested crap hole. It will be SO NICE to finally enjoy where I am living. We've looked at over 60 homes to finally find this one. We started back in April. Buyers market my ass! That was a long process with a lot of disappointing twists and turns. I just want to hang my hat and kick up my heels in the game room. Yes, game room. We're getting a pool table baby!

So here I was, in line at CVS. I had just paid for my arm full of candy and medication then turned to leave... the lady at the counter then said thank you, and "take care" and I just about fell down laughing.

For some reason in my head I determined that saying "take care" is exactly the same as "HEY LOOK OUT"!

Mortality Figure now has 200 images. Just sayin', like whoah! I'd like to get more hand drawn stuff on there soon. Seems unbalanced. Still though, feels good to know I've been keeping busy.

That whole ""idle hands as the devil's something something". Did I mention I love having a paid day off? lol

Long day already. Need. to. leave. work. early. too. tired. brainz. brokt. Rachelle and I watched my sister's kids while her other son was getting a surgery. Children are draining creatures. I am not well suited for it. I prefer kitties.

Not going out tonight. Staying in. Working on some of some the last graphic design/illustrations I'll be doing for a while (I am taking an extended vacation from the field); I'm burned out big time. Shoggoth stuff excluded of course (terror-deck coming soon). Other than that, I am concentrating on getting a few more art shows.

All I want to do on a Friday night is crawl into bed in my air conditioned room and sleep until Tuesday.
